Yes, but not necessarily. If someone else creates a topic the admins do not receive the mail either.

No person did not get mentioned.

The topic/post-author will not get notified about theirĀ own topics/posts. I will check if I get other reports to reproduce the issue so I can fix/avoid this problem somehow.

Hi,

I’m having the same or similar troubles. I’m the admin and I’ve created three moderators. We’ve all set the subscriptions to New Topics & Posts – which I assume is correct?

When a different person posts, only one of the four is getting notified by email.

Any ideas what could cause that? Is there a setting for the moderators I need to change? Plus as the site admin I’m not getting them.

If one of the persons receive the notification, than the functionality is working fine. Perhaps the mail of the second person is in his spam-folder or his mail-address is not correct.

I have this problem too since a few months. It worked fine for a long time, but after updating some things on my site it started to behave weird. I’m using a gmail alias address as sender and it works fine for non admin users. My admin accounts have subscribed to all new topics and posts, but only receive a notification when another admin is posting something on the forum, but not when a normal user is posting.

So the rule (at least on my site) seems to be that notification are sent only when the post is coming from a user with the same or higher privileges than the subscribing user.

Is there a cache which I can clear or anything else I can try?

I am currently facing the same issue where I cannot receive any notification/email. Is there a way to test the possible cause of the problem? None of the recipients receive emails.
