Create Forum For One User

I teach guitar and i have a program called “Guitar coaching” I would like Guitar Coaching to be the category and then have forums inside the category for each of my students. I do not want students to be able to see other students forums.
This is possible if I make each student a category, but it makes life a bit more difficult for me on the admin side.
Any ideas on how to implement my idea?

Currently it is only possible to set usergroups for categories. However, I am thinking about moving all permission-settings from categories to forums so they can be set up more granular. I cannot tell you yet when this will become available, but I hope it will be in one of the next updates.
