Asgaros Forum v1.8.0: Mention Users & Move Forums

I am happy to announce version 1.8.0 of the Asgaros Forum plugin for WordPress. This release finally brings the mentioning-functionality, an improved mobile-navigation and allows you to move forums.

Mention users

The new mentioning-functionality is an optional feature which is enabled by default. It allows you to mention users inside your posts. Mentioned users automatically get notified via e-mail and their name links to their profile (if you have profiles enabled in your settings).

Its now possible to move (sub) forums to another category or parent-forum via the structure administration to change the structure of an existing community.

A new expandable menu is used for the main-navigation on mobile devices.

Reactions were not saved correctly in some cases
Fixed display issues with some themes
Minor design changes
Performance improvements and code optimizations

Version 1.8.0 of the Asgaros Forum plugin for WordPress will be available in the next 24 hours via the WordPress Updater!

@vasilij : Ja, die Übersetzungen werde ich im Laufe des morgigen Tages einpflegen. Aktualisierungen sollten dann spätestens bis Samstag über den Updater zur Verfügung stehen. 🙂

Hi. Is it possible to mention all registered users? Even if the user you are mentioning is Admin or some kind of configuration.

@asgaros, If it doesn’t exist, I left my suggestion for improvement.

Such a functionality opens the door for spam abuse, so I am not really a big fan of that. How about introducing some kind of newsletter functionality to your website which would allow you to reach all of your registered users?
